What’s in store for us in the future?

Well by the looks of things, time is one of those subjects that people are very interested in, still looking into time travel, but do I think it to be achievable? It is still only rumours and stories that people “think” to be achievable. Although people like John Titor have claimed to come back in time, he stated that time travel was achieved in 2036 the time he came from, so we have a little while to wait until we actually get to go back in time and punch a dinosaur.

However with the new Hadron Collider up and running it is only a matter of time before we discover more about science than we ever previously knew.

Future of science: 'We will have the power of the gods'

A crazy sentiment made by a scientist a year or 2 ago, but how crazy is it really?

The ideas of teleportation, seen from the past sections experimented on boats, kept secret by the government there are now scientists who have actually achieved quantum teleportation

"We achieved quantum teleportation 10 years ago, and we're using it on a regular basis on the information carried by a system. This information is teleported over to another system, which assumes exactly that information; therefore it becomes identical with the original”.

With this under our belts perhaps teleportation could be very possible, they know the principle to teleport people they just need to practice it, and hopefully within the next few years our commutes to work will be one of a very different manor.

A disease-free world is on the horizon, people actually reproducing organs, and growing back pieces of a human being that were once lost is remarkable. And science dictates that:

"We will have the means, within 10 or 15 years, to reprogram biology away from cancer, away from heart disease, to really overcome the major diseases that kill us. We're in the early stages of that now, but our ability to do this is growing exponentially – it's doubling every year."

The research I have looked was published a few years ago, so who knows how close they are to coming up with a disease free world, it would be a brilliant if it was achieved.

Superhuman machinery with the ability to create machines to aid us in everyday life, we have seen the Japanese have machines that allow them to become stronger, and help them through day to day life, but they actually believe that with a little tweaking to some robots in the east we might be able to create machines that are as smart as human beings, Which would then lead onto perhaps the creation of Artificial intelligence

With machines already built which can actually defeat a chess champion an even think for itself, or so the rumors said, who knows where scientists will stop, perhaps we will have our very own robots to talk to, we may even be robots ourselves, but in the next 5 years that would be unlikely.

The power to change our brains, and enhance ourselves through genetically modified genes starting with things like Memory enhancement, and body augments (just like Deus Ex)

"Memory enhancement is certainly within the realm of scientific possibility. And we may be able to alter not just our intellectual but also our physical abilities. If we could pass down these genetically enhanced genes, we could evolve in a different way. We can't afford not to think about this issue and not to be prepared."

What’s in store for us in the future?

But what about our bones, what will our bones offer us in the future, will we even need bones with all the mechanical technology that is being implemented, we might all turn into wolverine and perhaps form our own Xmen, which for a nerd would be incredible.

this may not be as farfetched as first thought, scientists even now can replace bones with metal rods and structures in order to make them stronger than they were, if the bone was broken they can reinforce it and make the arm or leg for example much stronger than it actually was, this would then allow the patient to continue as normal.

If this was harnessed, or needed to be harnessed you could creature a whole exoskeleton, and with the application of robotics a suit could be formed within a person, creating essentially an augmented human being.

With the state of robotics as well, people are actually using robotics limbs in everyday use, and they are getting better every single day

Even television shows such as Myth busters can even create a robot, who knows what a real scientist can do, and from what I have seen from my research outer skeletons are already being achieved, aiding hugely in-patient rehabilitation making them able to move again, even after paralysis, which is incredible, and they have gotten smaller and smaller, from the original clunky machinery.

To this remarkable suit which able someone who perhaps lost the use of their left arm, which will mimic movements of their right, which allows the patient to be rehabilitated, and its compact too!

With the breakthroughs already at this stage, and every day them getting even better, and with the forecast for my other topic being able to eradicate disease hopefully we will see many people living longer, and the medicine industry not needed anymore as we slowly need mechanics and not doctors.

Actually looking over my entire research I myself see one big factor, time traveling robotically enhanced humans beings that can change the past in order to change the future, and where some people find this fascinating and amazing scientific breakthroughs, I can only go back to my original section about Arnie, the terminator theme tune play over and over in my head and I slowly come to the realisation that we might get invaded by robots.

But that’s just me…..i hope.
